Condition Overview

Please Note: Card Master Collectibles products are professionally protected and stored in a climate controlled environment. All 100% Authentic and Officially Licensed. Cards are listed in Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately played, Heavily Played, and damaged condition.

Cards

NEAR MINT (NM)

'Near Mint' cards show minimal signs of wear. Corners are sharp with little to no whitening, edges are clean, and the surface is free of creases, bends, or dents. Minor factory imperfections or very light surface scratches may be present but are only noticeable upon close inspection. The card maintains strong overall eye appeal and has been carefully handled or sleeved.

These flaws can include but are not limited to:

• Very minimal signs of wear
• Sharp corners with little to no whitening
• Clean surface with no creases, dents, or bends
• Minor factory imperfections or light surface scratches may be present
• Strong overall eye appeal

LIGHTLY PLAYED (LP)

'Lightly Played' cards show minor signs of wear from light play or handling. Corners and edges may have slight whitening or wear, and the surface may show light scratches or scuffs visible upon close inspection. There are no major creases, bends, or dents and the card maintains good overall eye appeal. 

These flaws can include but are not limited to:

• Noticeable but minor wear from light handling or play
• Slight corner whitening and/ or edge wear
• Surface may show light scratches or scuffs
• No creases, bends, or major damage
• Card still looks clean in a sleeve

MODERATELY PLAYED (MP)

'Moderately played' cards show moderate signs of wear from play or handling. Corners and edges have visible whitening and wear, and the surface may show noticeable scratches, scuffs, or light indentations. A small crease or bend may be present, but the card remains structurally intact. Overall wear is apparent, though the card is still fully legible and suitable for play or collection.

These flaws can include but are not limited to:

• Clear signs of play and handling
• Moderate whitening on corners and edges
• Surface scratching and/ or light scuffing visible
• May have a very light crease or indentation that does not significantly affect structure
• Overall wear is obvious but card remains intact

HEAVILY PLAYED (HP)

'Heavily Played' cards show significant signs of wear from frequent play or handling. Corners and edges exhibit heavy whitening and wear, and the surface has multiple scratches, scuffs, or dents. Creases or bends may be present, and overall visual appeal is noticeably reduced. The card remains complete and identifiable but shows clear, heavy use.

These flaws can include but are not limited to:

• Heavy wear from frequent play
• Significant whitening, edge wear, and surface damage
• Multiple scratches, scuffs, or dents
• Creases or bends likely present
• Reduced visual appeal but card is still complete

DAMAGED (DMG)

'Damaged' cards show major damage that significantly affects its condition and appearance. Issues may include large or multiple creases, bends, tears, peeling, heavy surface wear, staining, writing, or water damage. (If more than 30% of the card is damaged by liquid, it is considered Damaged). The card may be warped or structurally compromised. Overall visual appeal is poor, and the card is primarily suitable as a binder copy, placeholder, or for collection completion.

These flaws can include but are not limited to:

• Major structural damage
• Large or multiple creases, bends, tears, or peeling
• Water damage, staining, writing, or ink marks may be present
• Card may be warped or partially split
• Primarily valued as a binder copy or place holder

Comic Books, Magazines & Concert Posters

GEM MINT 10.0

• The highest grade assigned. The collectible must have no evidence of any manufacturing or handling defects.

MINT 9.9

• The collectible is nearly indistinguishable from a 10.0 but will have a very minor manufacturing defect. It will not have any evidence of handling defects.

NM/M 9.8

• A nearly perfect collectible with negligible manufacturing or handling defects.

NM+ 9.6

• A very well-preserved collectible with several minor manufacturing or handling defects.

NM 9.4

• A very well-preserved collectible with minor wear and small manufacturing or handling defects.

NM- 9.2

• A very well-preserved collectible with some wear and small manufacturing or handling defects.

VF/NM 9.0

• A very well-preserved collectible with good eye appeal. There will be a number of minor manufacturing and/or handling defects.

VF+ 8.5

• An attractive collectible with a moderate defect or a number of small defects.

VF 8.0

• An attractive collectible with a moderate defect or an accumulation of small defects.

VF- 7.5

• An above-average collectible with a moderate defect or an accumulation of small defects.

FN/VF 7.0

•  An above-average collectible with a major defect or an accumulation of small defects.

FN+ 6.5

• An above-average collectible with a major defect and some smaller defects, or a significant accumulation of small defects.

FN 6.0

• A slightly above-average collectible with a major defect and some smaller defects, or a significant accumulation of small defects.

FN- 5.5

• A slightly above-average collectible with several moderate defects.

VG/FN 5.0

• An average collectible with several moderate defects.

VG+ 4.5

• A slightly below-average collectible with multiple moderate defects.

VG 4.0

• A below-average collectible with multiple moderate defects.

VG- 3.5

• A below-average collectible with several major defects or an accumulation of multiple moderate defects.

G/VG 3.0

• A collectible that shows significant evidence of handling with several moderate to major defects.

G+ 2.5

• A collectible that shows extensive evidence of handling with multiple moderate to major defects.

G 2.0

• A collectible that shows extensive evidence of handling with numerous moderate to major defects.

G- 1.8

• A collectible that shows extensive evidence of handling with numerous major defects.

FA/G 1.5

• A collectible that shows extensive evidence of handling with heavy accumulation of major defects.

FA 1.0

• A very poorly handled collectible with a heavy accumulation of major defects.

Poor 0.5

• A heavily defaced collectible with a number major defects. Some pieces will also be missing.

Video Game Console

NEW

• Brand new and never opened. Console is factory sealed and has NEVER been open or removed from the manufacturer’s packaging. packaging will come in its original shrink wrap (if applicable) and or have security seal (if applicable). Console is in good condition unless otherwise noted.

CONSOLE COMPLETE WITH BOX (Pre-owned)

• Console comes with Manufacturers box, manual, and all accessories required to play (OEM controller, Audio/Video Cables and AC adapter for TV consoles and or only Handheld Consoles). Console, box, manual, and accessories are considered to be in good condition with minor to no wear and or creases. Console would look as if it were just taken out of the original package unless otherwise noted.

CONSOLE COMPLETE NO BOX (Pre-owned)

• Console comes with all accessories required to play (OEM  Controller, Audio/Video Cables and AC adapter for TV consoles and or only Handheld Consoles). Console and accessories are considered to be in good condition with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

CONSOLE COMPLETE THIRD PARTY (Pre-owned)

• Console comes with Third Party accessories required to play (Third Party Controller, Audio/Video Cables and AC Adapter for TV Consoles and or only Handheld Consoles). Console and Third Party accessories are considered to be in good condition with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

CONSOLE ONLY

• Console comes with NO accessories and are required to play (Controller, Audio/Video Cables and AC Adapter for TV Consoles and or only Handheld Consoles). Console is considered to be in good condition with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

Video Game Cartridge Or Disc

NEW

• Brand new and never opened Cartridge or Disc. Game is factory sealed and has NEVER been opened or removed from the manufacturer’s packaging. Packaging will come in its original shrink wrap (if applicable) and or have security seal (if applicable) and in good condition unless otherwise noted.

COMPLETE (NM-M)

• Cartridge or Disc comes with Box and Manual. Game, Box, and Manual are considered to be in good condition with minor to no wear, scratches, and creases unless otherwise noted.

COMPLETE (MP-LP)

• Cartridge or Disc comes with Box and Manual. Game, Box, and Manual are considered to be in good condition with signs of wear, scratches, creases but still work unless otherwise noted.

GAME WITH BOX

• Cartridge or Disc comes with Box and no Manual. Game and Box are in good condition with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

GAME WITH MANUAL

• Cartridge or Disc comes with original Manual and no Box. Game and Manual are in good condition with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

GAME ONLY

• Cartridge or Disc does not come with a Box or Manual and or any of the original packaging. Game is in good condition with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

BOX ONLY

• Original Box for the game. All sides, edges and corners are intact with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

MANUAL ONLY

• Original Manual for the game. All pages are intact with minor to no wear unless otherwise noted.

DAMAGED OR BROKEN

• Cartridge or Disc that has severe flaws or is broken which can include but are not limited to a cracked game, case or box. A non-readable or very hard to read label that has heavy or deep scratches on the surface that effect names, initials, engravings, etc. (if applicable). Writing that defaces more than 20% of the Cartridge and or the label, over 30% of the label is peeled off or damaged.
